Aduke stole a qick glance at Tessy who nodded and said, ‘Don’t worry, I will send you a message as soon as I hear anything. I’m certain Anita would soon be back to keep me company. I’m just surprised that it has taken her so long to come home. You guys can go’ said Tess
‘Are you sure? asked a concerned Addy. ‘Yes, you can’ responded Tessy
In the car, Aduke wordlessly sat in her side at the back and dutifully wore her belt. She was surprised when Gabbo leant over, unbuckled the belt and dragged her onto his laps where he cradled her.

‘Don’t worry baby, everything will be just fine and Simi will be found’ he said with confidence
‘What if she’s raped or killed? What if we never see her again?’ asked Aduke as she voiced out her deepest concerns.
‘It would not get to that my darling. You’ll see’ he pecked her on her temple, sending electricity down her spine. She turned and hugged him deeply, as though to infuse a bit of his confidence into her just as her phone beeped.

It was her email. She quickly peeked at it and smiled.

Gabbo had really given the Lab Man her email address and his results had come back. Like her, he was clean too.

She turned to him with sparkling eyes, suddenly ready for some mischief
‘DG, there is an issue’ she said, with false seriousness
‘What is it?’ he asked, concerned
‘Your result didn’t come back so good’ she said
‘What? He asked, his voice anxious. ‘What did it say?’ his concern was apparent in his eyes. He was confused. He could not imagine how he could have picked up any disease. He had always practised safety in all his Sekxual dealings. ‘Can I see the result please?’ he asked
‘Hahahaha! Gotcha!’ said Aduke as she burst out laughing. Your result is back and it’s fine’ she said.
‘What? Aduke! I’m going to get you for this!’ he said flooded with relief as he burst out laughing.
‘Let me see’ he said, just to be extra sure. As he perused the results, she leant towards him and whispered into his ear.
‘I’m going to show you the real meaning of a good time tonight. I sincerely hope your old heart can take it’ she teased. For now, Simisola was forgotten. Her heart, soul, mind and body were on her Danladi.
‘Hmm, promises, Promises. I hope you can deliver’ he said with a smile
‘You just wait and see’ she said as their vehicle made its way home. The two at the back had eyes only for one another as they smiled in anticipation of what was to come
